Modern Times and Fat Bellies

Of all the things about Western culture that causes me pain and shame, at least equal to gun violence and the heroin epidemic, is the obsession with weight loss.

There are places where weight loss isn’t a problem at all. Where they don’t need bands in their stomachs to only allow so much food to be consumed – before the consumer pukes, I assume.

They don’t need clinics where they freeze off the fat. Nope, these lucky folks have it made. They lose weight the natural way – starvation.

Imagine if the 1.5 trillion dollar gift to the already rich was used to feed the starving, or provide clean drinking water for the billions without it.

Imagine…

”Poverty is the most extreme form of violence.”

– Gandhi

Working Mother

I heard Peter Alexander call Ivanka Trump a “working mother,” during their Today Show interview this morning.

I know a woman in Newburgh. Her gang-banger husband left her in 2012.

She is raising two A students, in one of the nations toughest school systems. Her words to them, “your good grades are your only way out of Hell…”

She works as a nurse’s aid at St Luke’s hospital, waits tables at a Newburgh diner and cleans a few houses on her “day off.”

I think maybe Mr. Alexander needs to re-examine the term, “working mother.”

Happy Birthday

You always led the way for me to the next year.

Team Pisces!

I’d ask you every year on your birthday, “how is it, is it safe for me to move on up?”

You’d laugh that laugh and tell me, “it’s all good bro, come on, you are next!”

I always ate too much cake, more on your birthday then mine.

It always seemed the bigger day.

Something so huge has gone missing from all our lives.

Who is going to tell me it’s ok now, sista?

Happy Birthday, Marie…

It’s time

If I was a sensible gun owner, and I know a few, I’d be starting an organization focused on gun safety and showing that side of gun ownership and sport to the American people. I think we are all sick of the NRA. I know I am.

By the way, if you think you have your assault weapons to keep you safe from the police and the government… they have way more than you do. Blackhawk helicopters and shit. F-fucking 16s, they don’t give a rats ass about your AR15

I’d be all about saving the reputation of the sport because if we ever get a government that is not run from Russia and a wholly owned subsidiary of the NRA your second amendment “freedoms” are done.

#275 since Sandy Hook

it’s different when your daughter’s babies are in Florida and you hear “school shooting in Florida.” It’s way fucking different. It shouldn’t be, but it is.

Nineteen this year, 275 since Sandy Hook.
